Took some snap shots while doing some homework in China Town. This was an assignment for the class Illustration Now. Nothing too exciting but for an artist it was inspiring in some ways.

Drinking and Drawing...Again

This is what happens when you drink and draw...you draw the bottle you're drinking. I have to admit Andre's Extra Dry is okay, but I'm not a big fan of sparkling wine anyways so it's not saying much.

More "Sketching for Illustration" Paintings

These are a couple of paintings I did for my sketching for illustration class. I'd say I've made a huge improvement with my painting over the years, especially since I've been at Art Center. Before I came to Art Center I hardly even attempted to paint anything. I think it was because of the process of painting and the quality of my paintings. I always admired the masters of painting and tried to replicate them but no matter how hard I tried it didn't look anything like their paintings. But that's because I lacked technique and the knowledge of how to paint. From what I've been taught at Art Center I actually enjoy painting now, unlike before when I told everyone I hated it. Hopefully in the near future I can become a master painter too.

Illustrating Red Sovines: Phantom 309

I'm taking a class where I was given the assignment of illustrating Red Sovine's "Phantom 309". The name of the class is Graphic Design for Entertainment Arts taught by Paul Rogers. Since this a graphic design class we have to emphasis on signage and type. So far I love this class and would recommend to anyone interested in Entertainment Arts.
